“Absolutely not! I will not
go.”
After slamming down the phone Chase felt much better. Of course her
brother would be choked. Chris thought he was the absolute word of
authority in their family. Well, he wasn’t. The phone started ringing
again.
Damn it. Where is that
call display thingy? Oh, right, still in the box. Just to be sure
Chase unplugged the phone. She wasn’t going to be guilted in to anything
today. Least of all a family situation she wanted no part in. Her family
was always fighting about something. Apparently they were now in an
uproar over who got what from Grandma’s will. Sometimes Chase couldn’t
believe she was from the same family. The beautiful people she called
them. They were all slim, beautiful and selfish to the core. On the
other hand she was a little curvy, average-looking, and she tried very
hard to be unlike the rest of her family.
When Chase finally got
around to plugging the phone back in it immediately rang again. This
time she waited it out, deciding to let the machine pick up. As she
listened to the caller’s voice come through the machine, Chase was
startled to realize it wasn’t her brother. Not even close. Whoever this
man was he had a deep, rich baritone. Very nice. She hadn’t
heard a word he had said but he was still talking so she quickly grabbed
up the phone.
NB: Moonlit Romance has closed its doors and therefore Inheritance is looking for a new home. I will advise when it has been placed.

“Inheritance is a lovely romantic tale of two likeable people who
match up so evenly… Ms. Braden spins a delightful read
that flows consistently and touches on family, love and the joy of having
it all without having to depend on material assets. This is one story that
really captivates.”
Linda,
Romance at Heart Magazine
“A beautiful story of two people thrown together quite by chance. I loved
the way the characters seem to be on the same page, yet not quite. There
is a distance between them and though they face several trials together,
love wins out. MG Braden has written an outstanding love story.”
4 Cups from Liadan, Coffee Time Romance
“I absolutely loved this story… Ms. Braden spins a tale in Inheritance,
involving family members that are really true to life. I wish I could have
jumped inside the book and strangled Chase’s mother and brother… She pens
a great love story that I won’t forget.”
And, for the whole Duet (Inheritance is part of a two-author anthology):
“A Hint of Summer is a story by two talented authors that reach to the
inner core of the heart and soul of matters. In so many ways I felt
connected to the characters… Thanks to Ms. Braden, and Ms. Green, for
giving readers an absolute treasure not soon forgotten by this reader. “
5 Angels from Linda L, Fallen Angel Reviews
“Ms.
Braden took up the challenge of having her characters meet, get to know
each other and fall in love within a short story. This is a difficult task
and she handles the development of the relationship well… Chase and Reece
had great chemistry and Braden’s love scenes were wonderful. This is a fun
summer read.”
4 Hearts from Kara Lynn Russell, The Romance Studio
“This
story was sweet, unique and fun. The pages sizzled with the chemistry of
the characters, pulling the reader along for the ride… I enjoyed this
story and thought MG Braden did another fantastic job of creating
characters that were real, honest and exciting. This story will trap you
within its grasp and have you laughing and loving with the characters.
And, at times, reaching for something to cool down!”
